This 33-track double-disc career retrospective documents the arc of a career that went from arena and radio triumphs in the early 90's (while Nirvana's promise imploded in the wake of hype, Pearl Jam's crowd-pleasing fame only burgeoned) to the uncompromising, core audience-focused tack that carried the band into the 21st century. Shrewdly compiled by the band into an "Up" disc that chronicles the band's driving, Stone Gossard-Mike McCready fueled hard rock dramatics (including such early career landmarks as "Jeremy," "Alive" and "Even Flow" alongside more aggressive fare like "Go" and "Spin the Black Circle") and a "Down" side that focuses more on Eddie Vedder's brooding, often dark ballads ("Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town," "Yellow Ledbetter," their unlikely hit cover of the oldie "Last Kiss"), it's a collection that underscores both the band's range and musical integrity. Though centered largely on the band's pre-Vitalogy studio era and containing no new material, longtime producer/collaborator Brendan O'Brien contributes remixes of "Once," "Alive" and "Black" that offer new insights on the familiar, while non-album tracks like "Man of the Hour" and "State of Love and Trust" considerably enhance the overall listening perspective here. --Jerry McCulley Greatest American Band .....Ever This is a greatest hits albumn of the greatest American Band ever.....so how could it be bad. Pearl Jam is one of the top 10 greatest bands ever and it took this long for them to get a greatest hits cd?.....that kinda sucks but this albumn does not....it is great...you finally get a studio version of I got Id, which to me is easily one of their best songs.... A more than solid retrospective of a legendary band "Rearviewmirror" is about what you'd expect from a career-spanning retrospective of one of the greatest and most sucessful bands of the 90's. This double disc set features just about all the songs you'd expect to be on a Pearl Jam greatest hits album; from "Jeremy" to "Alive" to "Black" to "Glorified G" to "Do the Evolution", they're all here and they all sound great. There's no unreleased or new material included here as bonuses, which is a disapointment, but that's why there's "Lost Dogs", and Brendan O'Brien's remixes of "Once", "Black", and "Jeremy", which are decent. Hardcore fans will nit-pick over what's been included here and what hasn't, but for casual fans or new fans to the band, "rearviewmirror" is a more than worthy and solid entry point to one of the best and most influential groups to come out of the 90's. Well Conceived Design, Great Sound Quality, Great Compilation! This 2-Disc best of compilation of the great band comes wonderfully packaged in gatefold cardboard sleeve which unfolds into 3 square pieces. It also contains a 16-page booklet that contains pictures of the band as well as the credits page. The tracks are also thoughtfully arranged so that all the harder, faster paced tracks are on the "Up" side (Disc One)and the slower paced ones are on the "Down" side (Disc Two). Most importantly though, the sound quality is very, very good due in no small part to the great remixing done by Brendan O'Brien on "Once" and "Alive". Let's hope they do a similar job on "Ten" and "Vs" and rerelease them in mini-lp sleeve replica designs too! I've always thought that the sound quality on these two and especially on "Ten" was not as good as it could be. Great track selections, great sound quality, great album design and packaging all make this the best (and currently the only) compilation album of Pearl Jam that's out there. Great for those of you who want to sample or learn more about the band but don't want to get all the albums. Recommended.

King (W/Dvd)
King (W/Dvd)
King (W/Dvd) Artist: T.I. Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" for their answer. There was an innocence to the Swedish quartet, even when they were singing about one-night stands and the invitations to them. Gold establishes that the band, while appreciated as campy, were actually multifaceted in their execution. "S.O.S." has a raw urgency in its chorus, and "Does Your Mother Know" draws its energy from classic '50s rock roll. Likewise, you don't have to be Priscilla to swoon over "Mamma Mia" or "Dancing Queen." And when it comes to drama, those soaring vocals on "The Winner Takes It All" turn the song into a bitter anthem of every relationship that has ever fallen apart. The much-covered "Lay All Your Love on Me" is practically epic. --Steve Gdula ABBA Rules FIRST- Of note to people who are obsessed with track length (as I am) is the fact that two songs (Voulez Vous The Name of the Game) are somewhat shorter than their album versions

I thought I would do it track by track:
1. Dancing Queen (3:52) - probably the best-known song on this album- it is truly a classic. It needs no introduction
It's definitely not the best track on the album, but it is a great song.

2. Knowing Me, Knowing You (4:02) - a classic song. A great performance by Frida

3. Take A Chance On Me (4:04) - A nice song. I love the A'Capella beginning. The live version on ABBA LIVE (CD) is also really great- and it sounds faster

4. Mamma Mia (3:33) - A classic ABBA track. I love it!!!

5. Lay All Your Love On Me (4:34) - To me, this is the best song on the album. It has a great sound to it. Very disco-ish or early 80s-ish. From the classic album Super Trouper

6. Super Trouper (4:14) - A good song. This is the opening track from their masterpiece album of the same name. You really should look into the Super Trouper album

7. I Have A Dream (4:44) - a great song. I actually didn't like it until I heard the live version- so you may want to check that out on ABBA LIVE (CD) or on ABBA IN CONCERT (DVD). A beautiful track with a children's choir.

8. The Winner Takes It All (4:55) - another great track from the Super Trouper album- and it's probably the most beautiful song on ABBA Gold

9. Money, Money, Money (3:08) - a great song. It has a cabaret type of sound.

10. S.O.S. (3:21) - Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I must say, though, they may have a point- listen to it and you'll see.

11. Chiquita (5:26) - My least favorite song on this album. But, it was a major hit in many Spanish-speaking countries

12. Fernando (4:13) - I love this song. To me, it's one of Frida's greatest performances (and that's saying a lot). If you like it, you should hear the live version on ABBA LIVE (CD).

13. Voulez Vous (4:22 [edit- the album version is 5:09, so we lose 47 secs.]) - A great venture into disco. Very upbeat. If you like it, you should hear the whole Voulez Vous album and you should see the performance on ABBA IN CONCERT (DVD)

14. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) (4:48) - Another great disco classic. It was recently sampled by Madonna on the song "Hung Up."
If you like Gimme! You may want to see/hear the live version on ABBA LIVE (CD) or on ABBA IN CONCERT (DVD) and you may want to hear "Hung Up" by Madonna

15. Does Your Mother Know (3:15) - I used to hate this song, but now it's one of my favorites. The 50s rock type of sound to it is great. From the Voulez Vous album- I just love it. If you like it, you should hear the live version (on ABBA LIVE [CD] or on ABBA IN CONCERT [DVD])- it has a great guitar solo part not found in the studio version

16. One Of Us (3:58) - arguably the best track on The Visitors album. Although I'm not so sure about that, it still is great. Check out that bassline!!!!

17. The Name Of The Game - (4:00 [edit- the album version is 4:53, so we lose 53 secs.]) - a beautiful song (although the full length version on ABBA The Album is much better as it has an extra verse)

18. Thank You For The Music (3:51) - great song. Although it released as a single in 1983, it was a track on 1977's ABBA The Album. It is often seen as a farewell song (which it does serve well as), but it is actually one of four songs from ABBA's mini musical "The Girl With the Golden Hair" (this and two others are available on ABBA The Album. One song is unavailable on any album although it can be heard on ABBA The Movie)

19. Waterloo (2:42) - their first major hit. It has a glam rock-ish sound to it. WOW. If only it were longer

ALSO RECOMMENDED: ABBA LIVE and MORE ABBA GOLD.
(I personally prefer More ABBA Gold to ABBA Gold) abba gold ROCKS My husband and I LOVE this album. It makes us want to sing along with the music; it gets into the heart and makes you glad
you own it! We play it over and over before listening to something else.
Thank -you for the music, Abba!!! MURIEL'S WEDDING ME ANIMO A COMPRAR EL CD CUANDO VI LA PELICULA DE LA BODA DE MURIEL YO SOLAMENTE CONOCIA 2 CANCIONES DE ABBA( CHIQUITITA Y DANCING QUEEN)PERO EN EL SOUNDTRACK DE LA PELICULA ESCUCHE CANCIONES DE ELLOS QUE YO YA HABIA OIDO PERO QUE YO NO SABIA QUE ERAN ELLOS LOS QUE LAS CANTABAN; ENTONCES FUE CUANDO DECIDI COMPRAR EL COMPACT DISC(ABBA GOLD). One can almost hear Stevie Wonder's beaded braids clattering in time to their deep, funky grooves. At best, the band conjures up latter-day Motown, complete with a shuddering organ and hyperbolic vocals; at worst, they sound like a stylized boy band, with all the attendant close harmonies and dramatic pauses. But despite these musical schisms, Maroon 5 are a thoroughly engaging outfit, thanks to throbbing bass lines, hooky songs, and lead singer Adam Levin's swaggering delivery. --Jaan Uhelszki A diverse, modern, and soulful collection I purchased this album after discovering that two very diverse songs which I had heard on the radio and liked, "Harder to Breathe" and "She Will Be Loved," were both sung by Maroon 5. Whereas the former is rough and modern, the latter is sweetly soulful. The band's eclectic style permeates the entire album, from the pop-like "This Love" to the more jazzy "Sunday Morning," there is something here to suit virtually every music lover's tastes. Every track on SONGS ABOUT JANE is devoted to lead singer Adam Levin's mysterious muse, Jane. His conflicting emotions about the source of his inspiration are evident in his often-contradictory lyrics: "I'll never leave you behind-Or treat you unkind" (from "Sweetest Goodbye"); "There is nothing you can say or do-I called to let you know I'm through with you" (from "Through With You"); and "I'm full of regret-For all things that I've done and said" (from "Tangled"). These words speak deeply to anyone who has ever been in love, with all of its glory, all of its misery. If you are looking for music that is fresh, different, and familiar all at the same time, I highly recommend the unique sound of Maroon 5. Uplifting and relaxing I bought this cd, only having heard one of the songs on it - I instantly was in love with the whole thing! It can cheer me up, chill me out, help me sleep, anything - and my 2 and 5 year old kids like to boogie in the backseat when we listen to it in the car - great album! the best of the funky white boy band. Maroon 5 is the SSSS! I first hear them on the radio and thought they were black, but was knocked off my feet when I saw their "Breathe" video. Since then I have bought this CD and am in love. "Tangle" is on of my favorite songs, because of it's usually beat. I 'car dance' all the time to it. I really love "Sweetest Goodbye" and "Shiver"! They remind me alot of U2. Well Maroon 5 has my African-American vote for bringing the funky!

The Greatest Hits of All
The Greatest Hits of All
The Greatest Hits of All Artist: George Benson (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information

Italian Love Songs
Italian Love Songs
Italian Love Songs Artist: Dean Martin (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information fun great slightly cheesy music I totally enjoy this album. Martin's voice goes perfectly in these arrangements. This music makes you feel good. Dino Singing Italian Now That's Amore I can no longer eat spaghetti without having Dino `s Italian Love Songs spinning nearby. You will say Return To Me many times over to the CD The Best! This CD is the best work of Dean Martin.
